I Needed something that would preserve my child secure, be simple to use, look nice, fit in my little car while still rear-facing, and that I would not regret spending my well earned money on.
We absolutely enjoy this seat! It is comfortable for one thing. When I first took it out of the package I had to laugh at cause it appeared a lot comfortable than my recliner in my living-room! My girl was beginning to get a kind of cramped in the baby seat we had purchased for her.
We like the straps in this for two reasons: 1) They do not have to be unthreaded, aligned and rethreaded through slots that are difficult to figure, let alone fit a strap through. You just move them up and down. It’s good since in the summertime you are able to slide them down and in the wintertime once the child’s wearing sweater & coats and such you just slide them up a bit. 2) The straps align Down. I always experienced as if I was going to slice into the gentle skin on my girl’s neck as lining up the straps up over the shoulders. With this one, you just pull down until all the slack is at the sides on the bottom and then bend the knob until it is tight. Wha-la.
We also like the setting knob. It is easy to function and very good. No longer dangling strap between baby’s legs. Just bend the knob to fasten. Press the small lever and bend the knob in the opposite direction to loosen. Very simple.
It is also really effortless to get the cover off for rinsing. My girl lately handled to get a lid off of her cup and poured it everywhere herself and the seat. I got the cover off, washed it in the washing machine on gentle cycle, dried it in the drier for a quarter-hour on modest heat and then allow it sit out nightlong to complete drying. It was dry and ready to be re-installed in the morning.
It is also simple to move this car seat around in the car. The base is very “seat friendly” meaning it fits out nicely in the middle of the car. In my car, the center seat is down a bit lower than the two side seats (not as much padding in the center), and it matches nicely into the little groove without overlapping onto the side seats.
Anyway, if you were undecided about what convertible seat to buy, I hope I have been able to help you make your decision. We liked this seat so much, we purchased a 2nd one for Daddy’s car and will be soon buying additional for Grandma’s car.
